Adventure Cornwall offers luxury self catering breaks in either one of two cottages or a Yurt and they are located near the River Fowey in Cornwall. Each house sleeps up to six (+ cot) and is four-star rated and guests can take advantage of over 5 acres of meadows.
Adventure Cornwall also provide a number of adventure activities including Canadian canoeing on the Fowey River; natural rock-climbing and abseiling on the Moors; day expeditions onto Dartmoor and overnight canoeing or moorland expeditions.
They also offer a baby sitting service for guests! Visit Adventure Cornwall’s website here and download their brochure here (opens a pdf document).
In terms of the environment Adventure Cornwall use green tariff electricity and low energy light bulbs wherever possible and they have a small solar photovoltaic (PV) panel for the lighting in the yurt. The Link showers are heated by solar thermal, and there are recycling facilities for most waste. All of their cleaning/washing produces are eco-friendly.
An annual tree-planting program offsets carbon dioxide that is produced by the use of existing oil-fired equipment at Lombard and they have already planted over 1,500 trees and will continue to plant at least 300 trees every winter until they are carbon neutral.
If you arrive by electric vehicle, Adventure Cornwall will refund 5% of your holiday and allow you to recharge your car for free! Find out more about their environmental initiatives here.
