Design of the time

Designs of the time 2007 (Dott) is an initiative developed by the Design Council and One NorthEast. During 2007 the work centred on “a year of community projects, events and exhibitions based in North East England, explored what life in a sustainable region could be like – and how design could help us get there.” One of the initiatives included a ‘Sustainable Tourism Design Camp‘ which focussed on developing ideas for sustainable tourism initiatives in the North East. Ideas included:

 

  • Urban camping
  • Allendale Industrial Heritage
  • Landlines
  • Windpower in the Landscape
