Zero Rally – January 2009

Something different - the Zero Rally which crosses Zambia, Namibia and South Africa is being promoted as a ‘carbon neutral rally.’

 

Importantly the event is open to electric, solar, hybrid, hydrogen and bio-fuel vehicles! When the rally has finished a world conference and exhibition on renewable energy will be held in Cape Town. To find out more click here.

 

Talking about hybrid cars – the Toyota Prius has sold more than 800,000 units and celebrates its tenth birthday in 2007.
