The Camping and Caravaning Club are introducing their ‘camping pods‘ at Eskdale in 2008. Sleeping up to four people the heated wooden ’shelter’ is constructed out of locally sourced timber and insulated with sheeps wool.

Zero Rally – January 2009
Something different - the Zero Rally which crosses Zambia, Namibia and South Africa is being promoted as a ‘carbon neutral rally.’
Importantly the event is open to electric, solar, hybrid, hydrogen and bio-fuel vehicles! When the rally has finished a world conference and exhibition on renewable energy will be held in Cape Town. [...]
