Green Rides provide a range of alpine ski and board holidays in the winter months and mountain biking, tennis and canoeing in the summer months. On their website they really encourage guests to use the train to reach them and currently offer a 10% discount to guests who travel by train - a real incentive to reduce your carbon foot print. They provide information on the amount of CO2 produced by each mode of transport. Interestingly, they are about to start planting their own vegetable patch to provide organic produce for the chalet (though this could prove difficult at 1,400 metres).
