It’s worth visit The Man in Seat Sixty One’s website if you want to travel by train or boat. The site’s author Mark Smith, a former ‘railway man’ who provides a wealth of knowledge. The site has won the ‘Best Personal Contribution’ category in the First Choice Responsible Tourism Awards 2006.

Carbon neutral issue and long haul destinations

Long haul destinations which rely on overseas tourists could become less attractive as ‘carbon neutrality’ becomes a mainstream issue in both the public and private sectors.
