Natural Retreats are an innovative provider of breaks in environmentally friendly lodges. Located in a 54 acre meadow with woodland near Aislabeck the low density of luxury lodges gives guests the change to ‘get away from it all.’
- The lodges are constructed out of sustainably sourced timber
- Roofs have been planted with living material, helping the lodges to blend into the landscape
- Natural spring water is used for the showers and drinking water
- Future plans include using wood chip fuelled boilers, reed bed sewerage and rain water harvesting systems
Additionally, with no central facilities on site guests are encouraged to spend their money in the local economy.
