Eco-tourism

The Sunday Herald reports how tourists are demanding holidays which will protect Scotland’s natural environment.  VisitScotland have also reported considerable demand for ‘eco-friendly’ holidays and recent research presented by Mintel shows that over one million Britons took a ‘responsible or eco-friendly holiday’ during 2006 (generating some £406 million).  Clearly, there are opportunities to for eco-enterprenuers to tap into this growing marketplace.
